Truck Log

Introduction

The Truck Log DocType is designed to help users record and manage the status and current trips of trucks within the fleet. This structured approach ensures that all relevant information is captured for each truck, enabling better fleet management.

2. Accessing the Truck Log

Log in to the VSD Fleet Management System using your credentials.
Navigate to the VSD Fleet MS module from the main dashboard.
Select Truck Log from the list of available DocTypes.

3. Understanding the Interface

The Truck Log interface includes the following fields:

Truck: A link field to select the specific truck being logged.
Vehicle Status: A dropdown to indicate the current status of the truck, with options such as: * Idle

 * On Trip

* Disabled

Current Trip: A link field to specify the current trip associated with the truck.
Date: A read-only field that defaults to today’s date, indicating when the log entry is created.

4. Adding a New Truck Log Entry

Click on the New button to create a new truck log entry.
In the Truck field, select the truck you wish to log.
In the Vehicle Status dropdown, choose the current status of the truck.
If applicable, select the Current Trip associated with the truck.
The Date field will auto-populate with today’s date.
Click Save to store the new entry.
